Laura is working on her first documentary to be shot in late May 2021. The documentary Tutti in Scena! tells the story of the first Italian theater in New York. Starting from the late 19th century, NYC was filled by troupes doing great Italian theater, from Shakespeare (yes, Shakespeare) in Italian to Neapolitan and Sicilian theater, to Marionette and Cafe’ Chantant shows. The documentary will be made thanks to a grant from the Russo Brothers Film Forum for the Italian American Experience.
